About Us
Building Inclusion Through Racket Sports
Inclusive Racket Sports Society was created with a simple but powerful vision:
To ensure that every child, regardless of ability, has the opportunity to experience the joy, confidence, connection, and sense of belonging that sport can provide.

Our Story
After more than 40 years of coaching tennis internationally at the high-performance level, our Founder recognized something important:
While many opportunities exist for competitive athletes, there are still very limited structured racket sport programs designed specifically for children with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities.
This realization became the inspiration behind the creation of Inclusive Racket Sports Society and our specialized programs:
All Abilities Tennis™ and All Abilities Pickleball™
Our goal is to create safe, positive, and inclusive environments where participants can develop:
✔ confidence
✔ coordination
✔ social interaction
✔ physical activity habits
✔ a lifelong love of sport
Our Motivation
At the heart of our organization is the belief that:
Every child deserves the opportunity to feel included, valued, and successful.
Children with Down syndrome and other disabilities often face barriers to participation in organized sport and recreation. Many families struggle to find programs that are structured, supportive, and truly inclusive.
We want to help change that.
Through adaptive tennis and pickleball programs, we aim to provide experiences that focus not only on skill development, but also on:
-
confidence building
-
emotional growth
-
social connection
-
teamwork
-
enjoyment and participation
For us, success is not measured by competition results alone.
Success is measured when a child:
-
smiles on court
-
gains confidence
-
interacts with others
-
feels proud of their progress
-
wants to come back again
That is the true purpose behind our programs.
