Welcome to All Abilities Tennis™ / Pickleball™
We are proud to offer a program designed specifically for children of all abilities, including those with Down syndrome and developmental disabilities.

We  believe parents and families are essential partners in every participant’s journey

 
Our goal is simple:
To create a safe, supportive, and positive environment where every child can experience success through sport.

Our Coaching Approach

 

We follow the All Abilities Racket Sports Coaching Method™, based on:

  • simple instructions

  • visual demonstrations

  • repetition and routine

  • positive reinforcement

Player Development Levels

We Group Players Based on Ability and Comfort, Not Age

 

 

Level A — Explore & Engage
  • learning movement and coordination

  • getting comfortable with racket and ball

Level B — Build & Control
  • developing basic hitting skills

  • improving coordination

  • rallying with a partner

  • understanding simple game play

  • playing adapted matches

About the Program Leader

The program is led by a highly experienced

coach with:

  • 40+ years international experience

  • Master’s in Sport Coaching & Physical Education

  • PhD in Sport Psychology

  • Certified Coach 3 with Tennis Canada

  • Certified Life Coach

Who are the programs designed for?

What programs do you offer?

We currently offer:

  • All Abilities Tennis™

  • All Abilities Pickleball™

Programs focus on participation, confidence building, movement, social interaction, and skill development.

 
How are participants grouped?

Participants are grouped based on:

✔ ability level
✔ comfort level
✔ coordination and engagement

rather than age alone.

This helps create positive and successful learning environments.

 
How long are the sessions?

Standard sessions are:

  • 90 minutes

  • small groups (typically 6–8 participants)

 
Are coaches trained to work with children with disabilities?

Yes. Our coaches follow the All Abilities Racket Sports Coaching Method™ which focuses on:

  • adaptive coaching

  • positive reinforcement

  • structured routines

  • inclusive sport delivery

 
Can parents stay during the sessions?

Yes. Parents are welcome to stay and observe, especially during initial sessions if it helps participants feel comfortable.

 
What if my child requires additional support?

We encourage parents to share any important information during registration so we can better support each participant’s individual needs.

 
Does my child need previous tennis or pickleball experience?

No prior experience is required.

Our programs are designed for beginners through developing players.

 
How is progress monitored?

Coaches provide:

✔ ongoing feedback
✔ progress observations
✔ Player Progress Reports

focused on participation, confidence, coordination, and skill development.

 
How do we communicate with coaches?

We believe communication with families is very important.

Parents are encouraged to speak with coaches and reach out with questions or concerns at any time
